Changes

Everything has changed since the virus. Everything we like to do was taken away. Kids can’t graduate on stage and that sucks when you know you work hard for four years to get on that stage and it’s gone. I talked with a couple of my friends and most of them like the change and hate the change. They like the change because they have more time to put in with their family. One of my friends had his season cut short. Now that’s over and he didn’t finish. He doesn’t know what to do. Some of my teammates worry there might not be a football season or our season won’t start on time and we will have a shorter season.  A lot of people are going crazy because this change is a big one in such a short period of time. I feel like God will make a way for us. I feel like everything he does is for a reason and this would be just the extra motivation for us to get what we want when the time comes. Some of us are taking this change to heart meaning that some people are really sad and have nothing else but football and since that’s over right now our lives are just different. I’m grateful I get to see my granny more. She had surgery so it was important to get home to her. This has given me the chance to cherish these moments with her to let her know when I’m away I don’t forget about her. She hates that football is over just like me because she knows I have been playing for a longtime and she knows how much I love football, she loves it cause I do and she likes watching it. I miss my friends from school, we built a good relationship with each other at the very beginning. We have been getting closer and closer every time we get together. We built a good relationship with each other not only through football but in school and at home. They were here if you needed help with some homework with the WiFi and they know how to cook. It’s good to have friends from different places because you get to know their way of doing things. You can try their food and try new things and that’s what made all of use good friends. We all had different perspectives on things and all had good advice. My coaches are here for me. They call and text to make sure we are doing ok in school and at home, if we are taking care of our bodies and being around our family and it’s a good support to have them. My teachers are the most understanding of me and I appreciate them for coaching me this semester and it sucks that I can’t see them for the rest of the semester. They respect me and I respect them. This virus has taken away a lot of things, but everything happens for a reason.
